These full length lugs are capable of a wide range of tuning, from low and flabby all the way to high tension extremes without placing undue stress on the shell. Original Tama "PC" high pressure die cast hoops with no missing chunks of chrome (as is usually the case). These drums had a habit of going out-of-tune during a gig but that has been solved. I added brass machine thread nuts to the batter head tuning rods to "lock-in" your desired tuning.
These nuts could be removed to return the drum to it's original form but... You will love the fact that with a very light snug of the wrench (USA Snap On 7/16 Stubby included) the tuning will never change!
