#1 BARBIE Original 1959 Brunette Ponytail Doll 1959 Japan TM Box Vintage
She stated that she received it when she was older, and she played with this Barbie minimally. It has been stored since. The doll, swimsuit, box (marked 850), original stand, and cream colored evening gown with long gloves. This doll has been inspected by a number of doll collectors and it is agreed that it is in its original state and has not been altered or restored.
The hair appears to be tight and in very good condition. Some surface dirt exists, but overall in good condition. The bottom of the left foot is marked'Japan'. The right foot bottom is missing the metal tube , though she stands taut when placed on the black stand. The doll has what I would call a dimple indention on the back of her right thigh, and a slight possible breakthrough on her front hip.
The box has some discoloration from age, and a tear on the crease of a corner (see photo). The evening gown is in decent condition for its age. Please ask questions to verify its condition. I will be listing shortly another Barbie from the same owner - a Red hair Bubblecut, possibly a No.
