1979 Aria Pro II Japan (Matsumoku) TS-500 Vintage Guitar (Brown)

Made by the Matsumoku factory in Japan in 1979, the TS-500 Thor Sound was a mid range offering from their catalog and has the original curly headstock. Designed to meet the "stringent requirements of today's guitarists", the TS-500 have a three-ply maple neck with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard, set to a sycamore body with a maple centre block and walnut stripes. This one wears the "Japan Brown" finish that's aged nicely.

Loaded with passive Protomatic III humbuckers, switchable active boost circuit, 6-way tone selector and a range of other tone shaping controls (coil cuts, phase etc). Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing. Frets have some light pitting but are polished and smooth, plays well as is. Has a few cosmetic dings here and there as pictured.
