The frets are just shy of medium jumbo in width and crown, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly up the neck. The original nut is a hand-carved piece of bone for optimal sustain and clarity measuring 1 11/16 wide. The headstock has multi-ply binding, the classic "open book" shape, and split diamond pearl inlay. The gold tuners turn very smoothly and sport metal tulip buttons that really look the part.
All of the electronics work as they should, and the pickups are well balanced with strong output. The harness features full size pots and the undersides of the pickups retain clean Maxon date stamps from 1979. Particularly uncommon for any Greco from this era, the carved maple top features tight, three-dimensional birdseye figuring in the maple. This figuring is on full display on the lower bout behind the bridge, framed by the warm Cherry Sunburst gloss. The gold hardware shows light surface patina, and finish wear is limited to a bit of scuffing in the pick path as well as a couple shallow dings and light finish scratches on the guitar as a whole. The neck profile is flawless. Extremely clean by any standard, let alone for a 40+ year old instrument, this Greco is a remarkably well-kept, professionally setup, and highly figured example.A padded gigbag is included.
