1979 Washburn Falcon First Year Electric Guitar Husk Neck Through Rosewood. Up for grabs is one heck of an interesting piece of washburn history. The 1979 washburn falcon is an incredibly early example their make into the guitar universe. Advertised as the Les Paul killer this was modeled after Gibson Les pauls increasingly popular design but with a much more modern twist on it. And boy did they get this right! This particular guitar has had its fair share of modifications.

A few to note would be on the front where the control cavity is a few more holes were drilled for extra controls and parameters. The pots currently installed seem to be buttons of some sort that dont latch. Only god knows what the previous owner had in store. Way more noticeable on the back youll see that there has been a huge gaping hole routed out possibly for weight relief I would only assume because these guys can definitely get heavy. Possibly building 2 new back plates would make this much less noticeable.

As far as structural integrity goes its a pretty solid player. With no cracks or splits anywhere that I can see. Though there are points where the binding of the neck appears to be unglued but that should more or less be an easy fix. The neck feels incredibly solid and plays excellent without any bowing or warping.

The truss rod also works great. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
