Up for sale, a 2008 Fender Precision Bass'62 vintage reissue model PB62 in excellent condition and perfect working order with a stunning Lake Placid Blue custom color finish. Looking to capture the magic that made the early 1960's P Bass so loved, Fender Japan released this'62 reissue with the same cosmetic appointments, boasting the warmth, articulation and fundamental thump that defines the Precision tone. The bass features a basswood body and a slab rosewood board on the one-piece maple neck, offering a smooth, tonally balanced and resonant acoustic platform. The bass weighs 8lbs 13oz and balances well on a strap. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this bass is strung with roundwound 45-100 strings and plays well with comfortable action and spot-on intonation.

Produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this model pairs a custom color Lake Placid Blue finish with a deep reddish brown glossy tortoise pickguard. The quality is exceptional, and the "Made in Japan" instruments exemplify the attention to detail and dedication on the part of Fender Japan to deliver instruments that have both an alluring vintage look and tone to match. Inviting medium C-shaped profile with moderate shoulder, lightly rolled fretboard edges, and notable depth and roundness in the higher registers. 865" deep at the 1st fret and 1.020" at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a dark chocolate brown tint with slender vintage-style frets that show virtually no wear with their full factory height and well-rounded crowns. This bass is very easy and rewarding to play, and the instrument frets cleanly with a straight neck and optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width, with a 7 1/4" vintage-spec fretboard radius, and 34 scale length. On the headstock, the vintage-style clover button tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well, and the face of the headstock has a classic Pre-CBS style "spaghetti" logo. The dark reddish brown tortoise pickguard provides a great contrast to the Lake Placid Blue finish, and the chrome hardware is particularly clean.
