60's Vintage'RODEO' ELECTRIC GUITAR-by Teisco, Japan 1961-Jazzmaster Body. Tobacco Sunburst, Gold Foil Single Coil P/U. I'm clearing out some of my Japanese collectible guitars with the goal of obtaining the guitar of my dreams. Otherwise I wouldn't part with this one. A rather chunky neck, the action is a little high. It would play better with a bridge replacement. That plasic bridge looks funky but it's too TALL. It has interesting tone and the feedback issue actually adds to it with some freaky effects only made possible due to the severe microphonage issues. To play you need to be well away from your amplifier, then you can get some very nice tones out of it.

It's a real s urvivor with light corrosion and minor scratches. It stays in tune but it's tough to get it there due to these cheap tuners. A couple of the keys are slightly bent, too. The neck is straight, no issues there. The body shape is copied from the Fender Jazzmaster.

35 inch total length with a 25 inch scale (nut to bridge). I'm told by someone more knowledgeable about these that the single p/u models came out in'61, with the double and triple p/u models in the subsequent years.
