Up for sale is a vintage Epiphone ET-285 Electric Bass Guitar. It was made in Japan in the 1970s. It features a hardwood bolt-on neck (34 scale) with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. There are 2 single coil bass pickups.
The pots and selector switch work fine with little noise when switching, but I dont notice any once they are in place or while playing. The condition is shown well in the photos. The finish is a matte sunburst. There are light scratches (could be from sanding) all along the body (check the close up photos of the body). The pick guard has a crack near the input jack (no noticeable effect on playing).
There are dings in the body and back of the neck (see photos). The hardware has some pitting. The visual condition of the bass is fair for a vintage models with many aesthetic blemishes, but the playability of the bass is not affected. The bass is very playable, enjoyable, and sounds great. Note: there is camera flash in the photos to show blemishes better there are no odd bright/white spots in the finish of the bass.
The bass does not have any bridge cover. Comes with an Epiphone gig bag. The item "Epiphone ET-285 Electric Bass Guitar Vintage Japan 1970s (ET285 ET 285)" is in sale since Sunday, August 16, 2020.
