Here is an absolutely gorgeous vintage non-chambered Honeyburst Gibson Les Paul Classic Honey Burst from 1992. The 90s classics are phenominal guitars and this particular one was selected for export to Japan by Yamano, who it is said secured many of the greatest tops of the 90s & 2000s. It bears testimony to that with some superb honeyburst plaintop maple graining all over; it has a real Custom Shop R8 feel to it. I've tried to catch the top on this as best I can because it really is striking. It has absolutely no breaks or repairs.
Being a Calssic it has a 60s neck and weighs in at healthy non-chambered 4.3kg. Lots of life in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. It has had some Epiphone humbuckers fitted, they sound okay but a guitar such as this would benefit from a significant pick-up upgrade. That is the only mod we can see. No problems structurally or electrically.
It comes with the Yamano import booklet and Japanese Yamano warrenty certificate (expired). Its almost 30 years old now so there is obviously some playwear, the usual scuffing, dimples etc. No harsh dings or paint chips. Its well along the road to being a real vintage looker. The honeyburst finish has darkened over the decades, as have white plastics, the binding has aged to a deep yellow and the metal hardware has taken on a tarnished grey patina. Still has its original 1960 Classic cream pickguard.
Complete with original 1990s Tan Gibson HSC , with pink lining and silk shroud. Its in great condition with no issues, all latches and combi-lock aged but working fine. A very special 60's Gibson Yamano Export Les Paul Classic from the great Classic years. S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
