A vintage Japanese tea Chagama-shaped Nambu cast iron ashtray, made by one of the two leading Nambu Ironware brands, IWACHU, custom-ordered as a wedding souvenir with personalized embossed names on the bottom. A Chagama is a metal pot/kettle used in Japanese tea ceremonies.
Nambu Ironware (or Nambu tekki in Japanese) is a form of metalwork produced in Iwate Prefecture. The name "Nambu Ironware" comes from the fact that it was first produced in the Nambu domain during the Edo period.
