Nippon Japan Rare Covered Creamer Vintage Antique Handpainted Matte Finish

A covered creamer is rare and hard to find. The hand painted design of a cottage on a lake with trees is atmospheric and lyrical. The glaze is matte and gives the pieces a lot of depth and detail. Fine raised ceramic accents dot the handles - this is a very unusual detail.

Colors are greens, roses pinks, dusky yellows on the paintings and brown on the handles. The tree design in painted on the sugar bowl and continues on the lid - a nice detail.

I cannot find any chips, cracks or repairs on this set. Marked on the bottom "Hand Painted Nippon".
