A fine old or antique Japanese stoneware vase. In a squat vase form with ribbed decoration throughout. In the style of Bizen ware.

Simply a great Japanese vase! It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There is a hairline crack to the base that tracks up into the body, a trio of missing chunks to the footrim and side (that are likely from in the making), and some slight roughness in the glaze in the rim. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
