Vintage 1975 Seiko Lord Matic 5606-8090 23 Jewels Automatic Working Day/Date
It's one of the more elegant references I've seen from a very diverse and interesting line of LM watches. It features a 56-series automatic movement, an advanced and compact movement that powered both the LM series and many high-end Seikos. The is the 21,600 bph version-King and Grand Seikos used a higher-bph version of the movement. Seiko 5606 Automatic Hacking/Handwinding Movement.
Bambi bracelet sized for 7.5-inch wrist, no addt'l links available. This one features a beautiful, subtle, and slightly understated (for an LM) black dial with thin, raised bar indices. The hands have a nice beveled design. The case is brushed on top and polished on the sides. Lug width is 19mm and there is room for both the (aftermarket Bambi) bracelet as well as other straps.Watch is running between -5 and +11 sec/day depending on position. Measured the amplitude at 242 degrees-great for a vintage Seiko. Note that while this watch appears to be running well and keeping good time, service history is unknown and its condition could change at any time. Cosmetic condition is used but very good for the age.
Case has light marks throughout, crystal looks clear. Pull out a loupe and you'll notice a couple of small spots on the dial around the 1 and 2 o'clock indices, and some spots on the handset, as well as some dust.
Dial could benefit from being removed from the case and lightly blown off with an appropriate tool, but is in otherwise very good unrestored condition.
