Vintage 1987 Fender Jazz Bass Jbr-80 Active Preamp, Ash, Japan Mij Fujigen

It is the earliest model of this killer bass, they made it again sometime around the mid 90s but the 1980s FujiGen built model is the one you want. Beautifully crafted by Japans finest luthiers at FujiGen Gakki this is a beautiful looking bass with some great looking natural ash grain and a lightweight body. Most of these we have seen feature fairly boring ash, so this one really stands out as something special. It has a great sounding pair of hotrod 7J active pickups with an active preamp.

These were a Japan domestic model only and never exported. Al the electronics working perfectly. Also very clean with just a couple bumps in the finish bit no paint chips or anything ugly. Neck is nice and straight, truss rod working, plenty of life left in the frets. A beautifully crafted old Japanese beauty complete with cool retro Japanese faux leather bass gigbag.
