VINTAGE Barbie #3 BRUNETTE PONYTAIL-Clean Doll from personal collection
Vintage #3 Barbie from my personal collection. I put bows where elastics began to deteriorate to keep her hair in it's original position. No missing hair or bad areas.
Her face faded to a much lighter color than the rest of her body. Nail polish, lip color and all makeup are original and untouched, and she has blue eyeliner.No marks or flaws on toes, fingers, nose, lips, ears, neck or other body areas. All limbs are tight and she holds a pose beautifully. She has original swim suit, pearl stud earrings, and black open toed shoes. Has stand but it has been taped.
This was truly a beloved doll. 850 #3 Barbie Ponytail doll 1960. Similar to Barbie number two doll, with new blue irises, new softer curve to eyebrows some dolls with brown or blue eyeliner, same black and white stripe swimsuit, white sunglasses with blue lenses, black open toe heeled shoes, some came with new pearl earrings, pedestal stand, cardboard box, and a Barbie booklet. So how do you know this is a #3 and not a #4? Because of the faded color of the face. Someone mentioned it could be a transitional because Mattel used parts from different years that they had remaining.Could this be a #3 head and a #4 body? Perhaps, but all I know is this is the doll I have had since I was a little girl. Look closely at the pictures as they are part of the items description.
