Vintage rare Teisco Del Ray Phantom EV-3T

This is what Im told and see, is a super rare 1968 Del Ray EV-T3. The EV-3T model we have here, were made in limited number and were not in any of the catalogs. Mostly Canada and Australia under the Del Ray name tag. My research turned up only 350 were made and as an estimate of 100 or less ever made it to the US. I would think this could be considered excellent condition for its age, and mostly original. Firstly, the over all finish is intact, beautiful cream finish that has aged gracefully and shows little but some typical usage, scratches, a ding here and there but small. The playability is very good. The neck is in great shape as are the frets. Truss works, and the neck good and straight, low action achieved, without buzz. The electronics appear to be all original. The switches work, and the pots as well. But will need some tuner cleaner. There is some scratchy noise in one position but is corrected by turning the vol.

So, I think the electronics need tuner cleaner in the components and all will be good. Pickups are strong and sound like they should. I replaced the original tuners just lately with what looks to be direct replacements.

I have used the guitar at gigs, and always brings comments and questions. Its a must have for Teisco/ Del Ray collectors. This is a very rare vintage Del Ray reminiscent of the old Vox models of the same lineage and time frame very cool old guitar.

The headstock badge is gone to. But as with the tremelo arm, easily found and not very expensive.
