The fixed Pepsi bezel looks great. The all stainless steel is in excellent condition showing minor wear, no visibly significant dents or dings and is free of oxidation. The inside of the case back is stamped SEIKO TIME CORP. The crystal shows heavy scratching.
The 17 jewels unadjusted SEIKO TIME CORP. Stamped 6139B automatic movement runs strong and keeps accurate time when being worn. Please note that this particular movement does not run respond to winding the crown. Instead it fires up after being gently shaken and or spun face down on a soft, flat surface. It stays running when being worn.If the crown is turned clockwise or counterclockwise the inner bezel will move in the intended direction. The day and date functions work flawlessly by pushing the crown all the way in to change both the day and date in tandem. To change only the date the crown needs to be partially pressed in.
The day window is in both English and Spanish. I'd humbly suggest that the crown be pushed all the way in to get to the correct day and then partially press in the crown to advance to the correct date. The chronograph functions had worked perfectly until recently when the top pusher decided to stay stuck and not depress. Given this and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is required.
This watch measures approximately 40 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 11 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 12 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch, that the top pusher is stuck and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully, which were taken in natural light and from various angles, as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.
